The Department of Corrections is force-feeding at least three inmates currently on a hunger strike in protest of long-term solitary confinement that can last up to decades in the state of Wisconsin. The strike, dubbed “Dying to Live,” seeks to shine a light on the one hundred WI inmates currently held in solitary, a practice the United Nations has called a form of torture. For more on this, RT America’s Simone Del Rosario is joined by former inmate of seven years Talib Akbar, who was placed in solitary more than ten times.
