The historic changes to the Juvenile Justice law were passed by Parliament today. One key amendment is that now the Juvenile Justice Board can decide whether juveniles in 16 to 18 age group should be tried as adults in cases of heinous crimes. On The Buck Stops Here, we debate: what does this mean for the idea of justice? And whether this law has been pushed by “mob pressure”, as some child rights activists are saying?
