Nevada was one of three states that abolished life without parole for children during the 2015 legislative session.

The Incarcerated Children’s Advocacy Network (ICAN), which is an initiative of the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth, puts a human face on children serving extreme sentences in America. ICAN members Sara Kruzan, Xavier McElrath-Bey, Mario Taylor, Traci Rutherford, and Marcus Dixon testified before the Nevada Assembly Judiciary in March of 2015.
