Telecom companies threaten legal action as FCC votes to cap rates on prison phone calls

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted last Thursday to reduce the cost of jail and prison phone calls, capping it at 11 cents per minute, in a move that inmates’ families say would benefit them. Anya Parampil takes a look at the story and how major telecom companies are using legal means to prevent the move.
