“Ronnie lives in a cramped, windowless cell for at least twenty-two and a half hours a day. He is allowed no phone calls. His food is often cold and rotten… It is traumatizing knowing that a loved one is suffering and there is nothing you can do about it.” – Marie Levin, sister of CCR plaintiff Ronnie Dewberry who has spent 23 year in solitary confinement at Pelican Bay Prison. Marie shared her story with StoryCorps. The interview airs today at 5:10PM (PDT) 8:10PM (EST) on KALW’s Crosscurrents: http://kalw.org/programs/crosscurrents
